The Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Console

With Christmas fast approaching, it’s time to consider what to get the kids. The Nintendo DS Lite is an ideal gift for kids of any age. Of any age? In a word, yes.
We recently bought our five year old a console and whilst we had some reservations, it become an essential item whilst on holiday. The key is to find the right games. The Nintendo DS Lite is easy to use, and as the Lite element indicates, it’s a light console so even the smallest of fingers can operate it.
The Nintendo DS Lite is an updated version of the first Nintendo DS console. It has two screens and utilises touch screen technology via a stylus. Add into this it’s portable benefits and you have a perfect Christmas gift.
Nintendo DS Lite Features
Having two screens allows greater interaction with the Nintendo DS Lite, which in turn offers pin-sharp graphics and bright images. The addition of touch screen technology further adds to the interaction and enjoyment of the console.
Perhaps beyond most younger gamers, the wireless technology in the DS Lite facilitates up to 16 friends to play over a wireless network and keep even the most demanding teenager happy - well, at least for a while.
As mentioned previously, choosing the right game for the Nintendo console is essential for younger children. Games that utilise the built-in microphone are fun and add yet another dimension to the Nintendo’s gaming prowess.
