It’s not the first rumour of it’s kind but according to an insider at
Xbox360World magazine, Microsoft is working on a motion controller for
the Xbox 360 console. it’s impossible to tell whether this is true or
not. This particular version of the rumour references a company called
Motus that currently produces motion controllers. It appears from
pictures of a Motus prototype that the controller splits into two a
bit like the current Nintendo Wii Controllers.

With E3 not far away we may well find out very soon whether it’s all
just been rumours or if a 360 motion controller really is in the
